June 9 church in Almere

 Today we woke up bright and early..and left the house at 7:30 am to walk 20 min to the Haarlem station to  catch a train at 8:10 am  to get us to Amsterdam Centraal(20min ride)   From there we took  a train to  Almere(25 min) then we walked another 25 min to the church building.. we made it ar 9:30 am. As we were walking a big whoooosh flew by.. it was Elder Fisher Eldon’s former companion and his greenie on their bikes..they whizzed by so fast ! We saw them soon when we got to the church.  


After church we walked back 25 min to the station and then the two 25 min train rides and 25 min back to the house.  It was a wonderful day! 

We had a great time at church . One older lady came up to Eldon and said "can I hug you now ? How are you? " she was so sweet . It was a lot of fun to see Eldon talking to everyone. A super nice lady named Judith translated for me in relief society as well. 

Afterwards we found this on the wall at the ward building..all those who have served in the area or left to serve put their print on the poster

Then as we walked  back we ran into a member who was walking to the train as well. He was super nice and watched us leave on the train to be sure we got off ok.

June 27 Visiting Gouda

Today we visited the Cheese Market in Gouda!. We saw a reenactment of the cheese bartering for prices and weighing of the cheese. We then walked around the city and found a super cool windmill we were able to climb up. Then we found the Lego Store.. it is VERY hot here with absolutely no rain! The Lego store had air conditioning! Then we played a little on the property where we are staying. It's quite peaceful here!

June 24 Gent Belgium

Today we explored Gravensteen Castle! It was a lot of fun and super cool. We also explored Gent and just enjoyed the scenery of the whole place. We got waffles and ice cream which were soooo yummy. Image hot waffle with crispy outsides, soft insides with warm Nutella and icecream. It seriously was amazing!! These were Liege waffles. With a sweet crisp taste.. yum!!!!!!!
