June 8 Amsterdam





 Today we woke up refreshed and went to the Dutch Resistance Museum in Amsterdam.  We got a 3 day regional pass to use unlimited the trains and busses in the area.  Eldon has been a great navigator, translator and chef helping us find stuff to eat and showing us the missionary staple meals.. ie pesto and pasta. 

We are loving the airbnb we are in . Very homey and spacious!

The Dutch Resistance museum was interesting hearing all the stories and what they went through during the war. 

We went to the top of the Nemo Science museum as well . 

Then we took the train home. Upon realizing the train went to the beach after our stop I suggested we stay on another 10 min to see the beach . We stayed on and walked 5 min to the beach and saw some sand dunes. Lots of fun! We caught the next train in 30 min back. We stopped at the grocery store walking back to the airbnb and picked up a few more things..to eat over the next couple days. It was  relaxing..we are amazingly tired..probably from the whole week of events.

June 27 Visiting Gouda

Today we visited the Cheese Market in Gouda!. We saw a reenactment of the cheese bartering for prices and weighing of the cheese. We then walked around the city and found a super cool windmill we were able to climb up. Then we found the Lego Store.. it is VERY hot here with absolutely no rain! The Lego store had air conditioning! Then we played a little on the property where we are staying. It's quite peaceful here!

June 24 Gent Belgium

Today we explored Gravensteen Castle! It was a lot of fun and super cool. We also explored Gent and just enjoyed the scenery of the whole place. We got waffles and ice cream which were soooo yummy. Image hot waffle with crispy outsides, soft insides with warm Nutella and icecream. It seriously was amazing!! These were Liege waffles. With a sweet crisp taste.. yum!!!!!!!
