June 5 Haarlem to Utrecht

 Today we went to Haarlem to the Corrie Ten Boom house. This was interesting and gave a glimpse of what was happening and how they hid people in the house.  We then returned the car at the airport to go to Utrecht .













We started out fine after returning the car. We boarded the train but then all the trains got cancelled and we got in a bit of a mess.  There were NO trains going to Utrecht at all for the rest of the day. We looked on the Uber app and requested a ride. We had no idea where were were but guess what ...Uber did! The Uber driver knew exactly where we were as we were aimlessly walking to a random road by the train station. We ended up taking an Uber to Utrecht and hope to get a refund because of the tickets we weren't able to use..in any case I understood Eldon’s letters of train cancelations a lot better. It was crazy! 














We made it to Utrecht thanks to amazing uber driver Ibrahim who found us. Uber is great since we literally had no idea where we were. He found us and got us to Utrecht! 









We then went to the nearby mall and got greek food and Five Guys. 








We are exhausted!!

Today we visited the Cheese Market in Gouda!. We saw a reenactment of the cheese bartering for prices and weighing of the cheese. We then walked around the city and found a super cool windmill we were able to climb up. Then we found the Lego Store.. it is VERY hot here with absolutely no rain! The Lego store had air conditioning! Then we played a little on the property where we are staying. It's quite peaceful here!

June 24 Gent Belgium

Today we explored Gravensteen Castle! It was a lot of fun and super cool. We also explored Gent and just enjoyed the scenery of the whole place. We got waffles and ice cream which were soooo yummy. Image hot waffle with crispy outsides, soft insides with warm Nutella and icecream. It seriously was amazing!! These were Liege waffles. With a sweet crisp taste.. yum!!!!!!!
