June 4 Pannenkoeken, Muiderslot and Joseph's Birthday




For Joseph's 15th  birthday we started the day out by eating pannenkoeken!
Super Yum!


Then we headed to Muiderslot castle. I got a tip online to park in the free parking about a 10 min walk from the castle. Graham and Joseph enjoyed putting on the heavy knight armor  Then we walked and had a super fun time walking through the cute town or Muiden! When we walked back to the car the bridge opened up to let a boat through. Then we saw a bunch of bikes all waiting to cross. It is busy here . We saw so many on bicycles it was amazing to watch. Young and old. People with two seats for toddlers in front , one with a jogger stroller attachment carrying a huge cabinet in it. Then we went to a favorite restaurant of Eldon’s called O tacos and it was a hamburger place as well. After, we got some treats from the local store for Joseph's birthday

June 27 Visiting Gouda

Today we visited the Cheese Market in Gouda!. We saw a reenactment of the cheese bartering for prices and weighing of the cheese. We then walked around the city and found a super cool windmill we were able to climb up. Then we found the Lego Store.. it is VERY hot here with absolutely no rain! The Lego store had air conditioning! Then we played a little on the property where we are staying. It's quite peaceful here!

June 24 Gent Belgium

Today we explored Gravensteen Castle! It was a lot of fun and super cool. We also explored Gent and just enjoyed the scenery of the whole place. We got waffles and ice cream which were soooo yummy. Image hot waffle with crispy outsides, soft insides with warm Nutella and icecream. It seriously was amazing!! These were Liege waffles. With a sweet crisp taste.. yum!!!!!!!
